In Ontario, there's a place called The Screaming Tunnel.
Where I know she still lingers.
There's no turning back.
The Screaming Tunnel is a short horror game based on my fictional interpretation of The Screaming Tunnel in Canada. It was made for Thailand Horror Jam 2024 with the theme "Folklore".
The game is around 5 minutes long.
This is my first serious solo dev attempt! All feedback is welcome.

Cool little short story you got there
Thx for playin! I’m so sorry you got confused on the boss-fight haha! It came out from nowhere, that's on me.
So yeah, you can relight the lighter. She can spawn from both in front of and behind you. You can listen with a good pair of headphones which direction she’s coming from but ultimately not moving and looking at both sides of the tunnel is the easiest way to beat it.
The ending was intense - liked this a lot.
The game definitely has a potential of being a bit longer. Maybe explaining the story behind the entity, using notes, adding couple of dialogue boxes and it would definitely improve. Now, I understand this is a game jam project and for that particular reason, I would rate this very high and say it was solid.

Glad you liked it. I’d love to add more stuff for sure, had some more ideas planned but didn’t have time.
Btw, she has a 50/50 chance to spawn either in front or behind you. So you got a lucky 6.25% chance that she just spawns on the same side 4 times haha!

Thx for playing! Yeah, I was afraid that it might be a bit hard. The key is to either listen which direction she’s approaching from. (turn your head to face a wall) Or stop moving and look.
